John Flinn of Hystandard Handling Equipment plans to motorbike around Australia with Andrew Brown of Toll Intermodal, part of Toll Group, in May this year. The 15,000km road trip is aimed at raising money for the Cancer Council and increasing cancer awareness.
The pair will cover all the expenses of the trip and, in addition, Hystandard has opened the account with $5,000 to the Cancer Council of Australia.
So far we have raised $22,693.70 for the Cancer Council of Australia, thank you to all who have assisted to date.
On day one between Fremantle and Albany, we were stopped by a motorist and given $20.
Day 2 we met a lady in a cafe who was undergoing Chemotherapy, she very generously donated $10, good luck and best wishes from Andrew and I.
Day 3 on…follow the blog..
The fundraiser is organised through the NSW Cancer Council office but donations are for Cancer Council Australia.
“We would like to issue a challenge to all companies around Australia to get together and help us to raise money for this very worthy cause,” says Flinn.
Already, two other companies in the forklift industry have agreed to match Hystandard’s donation.
